How it Started

Kelly Cody, co-founder of Periodic, was working in her biophysics lab late one night in 2018 when she unexpectedly got her period. In a hurry to return to her experiment, and without a period product on-hand, she rushed to the research lab’s bathroom to take her chances with the period products provided by her school.

To her horror, she discovered a coin-operated pad/tampon machine. Quarterless and bloody - what a combo. After her harrowing, but all too typical, solution of shoving a wadded up pad of paper-thin toilet paper down her pants, she left the restroom. Interestingly enough, the toilet paper was free.

Our Mission

To empower menstruators by providing quality and easy-to-access period products any time, any place.

Values

According to Medical News Today, period poverty, a lack of access to menstrual products, hygiene facilities, waste management, and education impacts menstruators worldwide.

Lack of period products shouldn’t be a reason a menstruator sacrifices opportunities (school, work, sports, the list goes on).

Not all menstruators are women. Oftentimes, people who are non-binary and transgender are left out of the discussion surrounding period products. Periodic Vending Solutions is committed to not only bringing these individuals to the frontline of the conversation, but also to ensuring our products are available in women’s, men’s, and gender-neutral restrooms.

The Periodic Team has strong expertise in FDA, biotechnology, and health compliance. Leave it up to us to keep track of the rapidly changing menstrual movement legislation.
